Over 5,000 Instant Ramen Noodle Reviews Since 2002

So here’s the second of the Gomex noodles. I’ve never seen them other than the two I’ve rated – pretty interesting. They’re from Vietnam and sound interesting, so let’s give em’ a try…
Awesome!!! Here’s the link so you can read online. I want to thank Noah Haglund and Dan Bates for their great work on the article and photography! Thanks again!

Here’s a cup noodle from Korea’s Ottogi. It says it only takes 2 minutes to cook. Usually, you’re looking at 3 minutes! Such efficiency!

So the other Vifon Asian Styleys have been great so far – so let’s see how this one fares. I like how their packaging for this line of products is nice and colorful.

This is a brand new one from Malaysia I found at 99 Ranch today. Looks like it’ll rock!

Hảo Hảo Hảo? I doubt whether John Lee Hooker enjoyed this stuff during his life, but let’s see if it’s any good.

So this looks kind of interesting. Hmmm… I should make a list of the Maruchan Instant Lunches I’ve ingested and then I can go to the store and get all the ones I have not and then bam bam bam… Cheap noodle week!

I think this is the last of the Sau Tao’s I have for reviewing at this point. This one’s Scallop flavor with thick noodles. Again, these noodles aren’t fried. If you notice to the upper right of center, you are being informed that ‘Health is important.’ Looks like 4g fat and 7.5g fiber – not too bad actually.

So some of the comments I’ve received lately have been from folks who really liked Maruchan Kitsune Udon bowls. Unfortunately, those aren’t being produced anymore, at least for the USA. So I thought maybe to begin the 400’s here we’d look at a couple of Myojo’s bowls which I’ve found to be quite good.

So for the 400th review, I went with one I’ve thought should be interesting – seafood curry. These are Cup Noodles that are not for sale usually in the United States. I’ve found two – Crab Flavour and Seafood Flavour, but this Curry Seafood Flavour came from Canada.

Ah the fruits of the sea! I wonder if it’ll be a fishy spicy thing going on? I sure hope so…

So here’s perhaps the last or maybe next to last of the Paldo Bowl Noodle Soup line. These have been really good!

Something new – a cup noodle from the Philippines!

Two packets – dry seasoning on the left and a seasoned oil on the right.

So far I’ve been so pleased with the Vina Acecook products. Everything’s been so nice about them. So let’s try a new one – a bowl noodle this time.

I thought this looked interesting. I don’t usually see any kind of ‘mild’ flavors coming out of Korea, but here you see one. Here we go!

So today is the day of the supposed rapture, predicted by a fellow in Oakland, CA. He’s disappeared but The Ramen Rater hasn’t! So let’s check out these noodles from Korea!

This one looked interesting. I really liked the Nissin Demae Iccho Ramen with XO Sauce, so I thought this would be good too hopefully.

I have to say, when I see a box like this with any kind of mayonnaise-like stuff going on, I get really hungry!

So on our recent trip to the new Bellevue Uwajimaya, we got a 5-pack of this stuff. My lady Kit really enjoyed the Myojo Charmela stuff so I thought maybe this would be something she would like too.

So we went to the brand new Bellevue Washington Uwajimaya a couple days ago and wow – pretty awesome! Got some nice bowl noodles to try – here’s one!

So here’s one that came down from Canada but I wager it’s available at most good sized Asian groceries around here.

So been really curious how this one’d pan out. I’ve tried mac and cheese-esque noodles before, but never in a cup…

Well this should be a tasty and tame one after the horror of the zero star review #386. So on we go with some beefiness!

Well, this looks like a lot of insanity! Here we go!!!

Wait – I thought this was pork and seafood flavor, not shrimp flavor…

So here’s another one of the ‘Hot of Hots’ I found recently. I really have no idea of what to expect with this one…

So I’ve been doing these slowly because they’re so cool! Another my sis brought back from Canada. Tom Yam eh? Should be interesting!

Wow! I have a feeling this tastes somewhat like… chicken! Chicken na Chicken Chicken flavor! Here we go!

So here’s one of the smaller packs of noodles. This one’s from the Philippines and containes something called Malanggay. Here’s what is said about it on Wikipedia:

So I’ve reviewed quite a few of these so had to look to make sure I hadn’t already! But nope not yet so here we go!

So here’s some interesting stuff. It doesn’t say its any particular flavor other than ‘pho.’ Not beef or veggies or chicken. I’m going to guess beef. The picture looks kinda beefy.

Haven’t reviewed one of these in a while. I did do the Alfredo recently but that’s a little further off track than this. Anyways, Thai Peanut Flavor…

The ‘Hot Of Hots’ eh? Sounds interesting! I hope its good as I really like satay…

Yep – here’s another of the Sau Tao’s. I’m just going to go through all of them in a row I think. This is Chicken and Abalone – kind of a new twist on ‘surf and turf’ eh? Anyways…

So here’s another of these Sau Tao’s by Sun Shun Fuk (heh heh) and hopefully it’s some good stuff.

So here’s something new but kind of like a lot of other stuff…

Clockwise from top: powdered soup base, veggies and seasoned oil.

I rarely have any issue with a nice shrimp flavor bowl of noodles. These are from Vietnam by Vifon – I’d better cook them up and review them ‘cuz I’m hungry!

So here’s one my lady Kit brought me back from California! Cup Noodles Chicken Vegetable time!

So let’s start with the name – Noodle Time. Apparently, this is a Canadian brand. They started in 2001 in Edmondton, Alberta and they make this stuff in a few flavors. They pride themselves on No MSG, althought the bowl if consumed entirely contains about 1,500mg of sodium.

Wow – Fuku! Pretty awesome name I think! My sister brought these back from Canada. Let’s try em’ out!
