Last year, I decided I’d bow to some readers who thought maybe like cars, lists should have the following year in the title. This caused some confusion; but I really can’t just undo this. So, going forward, lists that come out in the latter half of the year, August and beyond, will have the next year’s name in the title. We’ll see how that goes. These are my favorite cup varieties of all reviews up to number 3,545. Now, let’s look at The Ramen Rater’s Top Ten Instant Cup Noodles Of All Time, 2021 Edition.

#9: Nissin Cup Noodles Alitas Hot – Mexico
Part of their Intensos spicy range, Nissin Mexico brings Alitas Hot – ho wings flavor. The heat level is very tame, however the flavor is off the charts with a very tasty grilled chicken taste. A really nice surprise in this one – worth a try. Original review
#9: Nissin Cup Noodles Stir Fry Korean BBQ Flavor – United States
This is a new range from Nissin Foods here in the United States. This is definitely my favorite – the reason is simple. So many times, I’ve tried something from here claiming to be teriyaki, or pad thai, or Korean barbecue flavored, and it turns out to be this horrible, acidic inauthentic weird amalgam that bears no resemblance to the genuine article. If I went to the store right now and got our preferred Korean barbecue sauce and poured a little on some noodles, it would taste almost identical to these. Authenticity is a big thing for me when it comes to Things like this and Nissin hit the bullseye. Savory, sweet, good noodles – worth a try. Original review
#8: MyKuali Penang Red Tom Yum Goong Noodle Authentic Taste – Malaysia
A show stopper, this variety has a super savory broth which is thick and flavorful. Strong tomato and lemongrass notes are present and couples with a great noodle and vegetables sachet. Tastes almost identical to tom yum I tried in Langkawi. Original review
#7: Mamee Chef Curry Laksa Flavour – Malaysia
These noodles are produced using Mamee Chef’s ‘Mi Tarik’ technology which emulates hand pulled noodles. The broth has a rich and luxuriant curry flavor and is augmented by a myriad of garnish including little tofu puffs. Original review
#6: Seven & i Premium Curry Ramen – Japan
This one’s from 7-Eleven in Japan. This one was particularly nice – a slightly broad noodle cradles a nice curry broth. The great thing was the amount of included garnish which included a lot of mince, potato, and more. Very enjoyable. Original review
#5: Maruchan QTTA Curry Ramen – Japan
QTTA (pronounced coo-tah) translated to ‘I’m full/satisfied.’ A cup full of rich curry and thick noodles, with a lot of different included garnish. It definitely should fill you up. Original review
#4: Nissin Cup Noodles Very Veggie Spicy Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup – United States
Here you see the Very Veggie Spicy Chicken variety, but truly the whole range which includes beef, chicken, and soy sauce flavors hold this spot – they’r equally good. The sheer amount of vegetables work with the base to create just about the most savory broth you could imagine. Really something that should be experienced by every noodle fan. Original review
#3: Mr. Meng Tomato Egg Instant Noodle – China
A ton of these round wheat noodles start things off in this ‘flower pot’ as I’ve dubber them style cup. Honestly, they look like ice cream pints as well… The broth imparts a very fresh and tasty tomato flavor, which is pocked throughout with little bits of scrabled egg. So many people have asked me about tomato flavored instant noodles – heads up companies! It’s something the people want! Original review
#2: MyKuali Penang Hokkien Prawn Noodle Authentic Taste – Malaysia
If you like prawn like I like prawn, and I really like prawn, you’re going to be exceedingly enthused about this variety. The sheer amount of prawniness is just wonderful – a thick, sweet and spicy broth, great noodles, and included fried onion just come together so well. Original review
#1: MyKuali White Fish Broth Cup Noodle – Malaysia
Just love this one. A good noodle paired with the new White Fish Broth. It’s salty, full of flavor, has a good oiliness and thickness (has a feel like a chowder) and is just super good. Vegetables include little pepper rings that add a little zing. Excellent! Original review
The Ramen Rater Shop
People have been asking where to get a lot of varieties and so I’ve partnered with Exotic Noods to bring you The Ramen Rater Shop. Here you’ll find an expending variety of instant noodles at a pretty decent price. Spend $35 and get free shipping. You’ll be able to try a wide array of varieties and not have to buy a ton of each variety. I really wanted to have a way you could just buy a single pack of two at a time. The same way I do when I visit an Asian grocery.
The All New The Ramen Rater App For Android
The Ramen Rater App for Android has been given a whole new look and functionality. You can scan bar codes to see reviews I’ve done while at the store, peruse the top ten lists, and do simple searches. It’s really great – even a dark mode! Best of all it’s free and currently ad-free.
In Memory Of Barbara Lienesch
Sadly, this is the second time this year I’ve had to add a memorial to the bottom of my list. Early June 30th, my mother passed after a pretty rough ride. In the end, she died peacefully in her sleep. Here’s an interview I did with her when I had family down for review #3000.
