Over 5,000 Instant Ramen Noodle Reviews Since 2002

Here’s one I’ve been meaning to get to and here we go! Thisd one is from Greg B. of Marathon, FL! Thanks Greg – let’s give this one a try!

Decided to go with quick and easy and those words had Nissin Ramen Bowl written all over them. (?)

Well, this is the end of the line. A few months ago, Cindy C. from England sent a nice big box of instant noodles containing many kinds of Super Noodles and Pot Noodle and this is the last of the Pot Noodle! After this, there are two pouches I’ll review called ‘Mug Shots.’ Thanks again Cindy! This has been a lot of fun!

Here’s one that has been in the noodle bin since the trip to California my wife and son and I took in July! Time to eat. Mushroom pork just didn’t sound too good, but you know me, I have to try it.

Thanks again to Chad B. of Highland, Illinois for sending these Master Kong packs! Braised beef eh? Hmmm I wonder how this will be – if the Pork one was any indicator, I’m going to like this!

I remember reviewing this one a while back up in Anacortes – got it and was really stoked as I’d never seen it before!

Here’s another from Michelle L. of New York. I have a feeling it’s going to be good as well as spicy!

Onward to #700! This is one of many sent to me by Michelle L. of New York! Thank you! Never seen this brand before – let’s give it a try!

Here we go with review 600! Yep – this is why there were all the re-reviews last week! Thanks go to Mike M. of Staten Island, NY for pointing out that I’d reviewed the Roast Beef but not the regular beef flavor!
So I saw an i-Report article on CNN about ramen noodles and it mentioned they wanted people to write about their experiences with noodles from restaurant style to instant. I decided I’d write a short article and if it gets enough attention, it will be included in a big article CNN will be running at the beginning of next year! What I ask is that you click this link and check out the story yourself – share it on your facebook and twitter if you’re up for it! I feel The Ramen Rater blog isn’t just about my reviews; its about everyone who comments and participates. The more coverage it gets, the bigger the community and the more useful the site becomes. Thanks to everyone who comes to the site every day!

Hey awesome – curry’s one of my favorites! I’m thinking since my wife made the finest turkey yesterday that I’ve ever had the fortune of eating, I’d try to fuse that with this and toss an egg in. Here we go!

Here we go – I didn’t get to making anything to eat today until around 6pm so I thought this sounded filling. Thanks to Cindy C. from Middlesex, England for donating these!

So here’s some Instant Lunch. Haven’t done one of these in a while and I’m sure that there’s a ton of them I need to do still. So hot & spicy beef – let’s give ‘er a try.

So This one got reviewed at the studios of KIRO 97.3 FM yesterday – here’s a video of me making and trying it.

I’ve reviewed a ton of the Unif noodles, but it’s been quite a while. Here’s a Unif rice noodle – Chinese onion.

A couple things to start out with here as this picture is somewhat ridiculous. So they’re adding water to the cup. The water is up to the line already and not only that, the contents appear to already be done cooking; the veggies are clearly re-hydrated. Kind of weird I thought.

So the other Vifon Asian Styleys have been great so far – so let’s see how this one fares. I like how their packaging for this line of products is nice and colorful.

Hảo Hảo Hảo? I doubt whether John Lee Hooker enjoyed this stuff during his life, but let’s see if it’s any good.

So this looks kind of interesting. Hmmm… I should make a list of the Maruchan Instant Lunches I’ve ingested and then I can go to the store and get all the ones I have not and then bam bam bam… Cheap noodle week!

So some of the comments I’ve received lately have been from folks who really liked Maruchan Kitsune Udon bowls. Unfortunately, those aren’t being produced anymore, at least for the USA. So I thought maybe to begin the 400’s here we’d look at a couple of Myojo’s bowls which I’ve found to be quite good.

So for the 400th review, I went with one I’ve thought should be interesting – seafood curry. These are Cup Noodles that are not for sale usually in the United States. I’ve found two – Crab Flavour and Seafood Flavour, but this Curry Seafood Flavour came from Canada.

So on our recent trip to the new Bellevue Uwajimaya, we got a 5-pack of this stuff. My lady Kit really enjoyed the Myojo Charmela stuff so I thought maybe this would be something she would like too.

Well this should be a tasty and tame one after the horror of the zero star review #386. So on we go with some beefiness!

So I’ve been doing these slowly because they’re so cool! Another my sis brought back from Canada. Tom Yam eh? Should be interesting!

So here’s one of the smaller packs of noodles. This one’s from the Philippines and containes something called Malanggay. Here’s what is said about it on Wikipedia:

Haven’t reviewed one of these in a while. I did do the Alfredo recently but that’s a little further off track than this. Anyways, Thai Peanut Flavor…

The ‘Hot Of Hots’ eh? Sounds interesting! I hope its good as I really like satay…

I rarely have any issue with a nice shrimp flavor bowl of noodles. These are from Vietnam by Vifon – I’d better cook them up and review them ‘cuz I’m hungry!

Didn’t think this wasn’t a repeat review but yeah – this is new! So here we go!

So here’s another one my sister brought me back from Canada! Definitely a flavor you can’t find here in the states.

So I reviewed this one a really long time ago and thought it really needed to be brought out again. I don’t even remember what score I gave it, but it’s being prepared no doubt a little different this time and so we shall see how it fares. I remember liking it a great deal.

Since I did my first radio interview today, I thought I’d review something equally interesting – Japanese macaroni weirdness!

Another one from California! Thanks my lovely Kitten! So this should be good I hope! Onward!

So here’s one we got a Megalomanianmart the other day. Was nice to see there was another flavor out there; I think this stuff’s pretty okay. One thing I noticed – the other two I’ve reviewed say ‘with chicken’ or ‘with shrimp,’ and this one just says ‘beef flavor.’ Kind of interesting I thought.

Always a big fan of the Doll brand stuff. Spicy pork huh? Awesome – sounds like a part of a wholesome breakfast!

Yep! Another Maruchan variety. Roast Beef! Shall we begin?

One packet of fun.

The powder in the bowl awaiting the cooked noodles and boiling water.

So here’s something interesting. This is for the health conscious noodle fan – from Korea, we have Nongshim’s Noodle Lite 275.

So here’s one my lady got for me – chili flavor Top Ramen! So cool – dueling Chili flavor products back to back! Let’s rock!

So I asked my lady Vietnamese, Korean or Filipino noodles today? She said Korean. So I picked this one to try. It’s quite unique as it’s the first round big bowls I’ve ever seen with a drain spout. Let’s begin.
