Prima Taste Sends LaMian Blind Box Collection From Singapore!
This is a rad box with a story. Months ago, they were kind enough to send this over. However, customs got very freaked out about a box with little stuffed figures inside it; like it was a terrifying threat to national security! Well, I found this at my doorstep yesterday and was thrilled. A bonus was that my daughter Mimi had the day off from school, so we were able to do an unboxing together. She is really into these kind of things and the closest I can relate is I’m legally blind and these are blind boxes, so I must be compatible with them. So sit back and enjoy the video! I was really surprised about this. I received an email from a fellow who had asked me some questions in the past and he told me he had an instant noodle supplement – vitamins, minerals – that kind of supplement. I was instantly fascinated and gave him my address. I have tried one – the immune support. I can report that it does not affect the flavor of instant noodle broth in any way that I could detect. Good Seoul Sends Topokki & Rapokki!
I was recently contacted by Good Seoul – makers of some really great rice cake topokki and rapokki! Topokki (tteokbokki) is rice flour cylinders that have a soft and chewy texture. Alone, they’re really not tasty, but paired with sauce they’re quite addictive. Rapokki is when you have these and introduce wheat noodles as well, making for a dual-textured experience. Here’s my next to last of these varieties and I have to say I’ve enjoyed them so far. Nice chewy noodles, good Taiwanese style flavors. These are made for Momofuku, a restaurant founded by David Chang. A-Sha Dry Noodle is making these, so if you like their products, you’ll like these. Let’s cook it up!

As today is April 1st (April Fools Day), I was lucky enough to have a neat box of odd varieties my wife got me arrive yesterday. These can be found online at Walmart or you can just drag your smelly ass into a Walmart store. It should be known that while launch dates are usually on the boxes, Walmart rarely adheres to them when it comes to putting things out on the floor as I’ve found regarding previous exclusive things. With that being said, I’ll show you the quartet and let you know my initial thoughts. I should also mention – this isn’t a joke, it’s a real thing. But you shouldn’t be too surprised.
