Big thanks to Noodle Journey for sending this along! I did a bunch of Ramen Talk reviews previously, but this one’s very new to me. These are really quite good in general and we shall see how this one goes. Tomato meatball seems very much like spaghetti soup… Hmmm…
It’s been awhile since my last roundup of Chinese varieties and I thought a new one would be good. There’s been a flood of great Chinese varieties that I’ve found here in the US lately. I do know that there’s a lot I’ve not had the chance to try and would very much like to. If you’re a manufacturer or distributor of instant noodles from China, I’d love to hear from you and sample your products. With that, let’s take a look at The Ramen Rater’s Top Ten Chinese Instant Noodles Of All Time 2025 Edition.
Every year I pick my favorites out of all the reviews I’ve done. In the past, I’ve had lists that have multiple companies with multiple entries. I decided this year that I would change that. Starting with this list, only one entry per company will be on the list. I’ll mention other noteworthy varieties in the text of each one which I think will give more opportunities for folks to try new things. This new way of doing things will be reflected in this list, the upcoming Bottom Ten, Top Ten Bowls, and Top Ten Cups lists.
Golder beef sour? These are an interesting set of terms and I’m very curious. Everything these folks have sent thus far as been excellent. Let’s proceed!
Oh no – the last one… I really liked these – I sincerely hope the make even more varieties. Some of the best stuff I’ve had from China. Well, let’s give braised beef a try!
I tried four varieties of these a little while back and was thoroughly impressed. Now I’ve got three more to try that sound really good! Let’s give em’ a try!
Well, here’s the last of the Ramen Talk varieties I’ve gotten – they said they’d send more, which would be great! All have been quite exceptional. This one’s a tomato tonkotsu – I’m very curious – let’s give it a go!
These folks sent a package of four varieties a while back – and they wree amazing! This time it’s the final three and I’m truly looking forward to them – let’s take a look!
I am a huge fan of tom yum goong. I’m really curious how this one will be – it comes with some surprises as well – like octopus! Let’s checke it out!
Today, I’m trying the second variety of the samples that Ramen Talk sent recently. I should mention that I’ve made an error here. This image above is the back of the package… My mistake… It sounds really quite good – let’s check it out!
Behold! I was contacted by a fellow on instagram who follows my reviews and asked if I’d tried these as he has, loved them, but couldn’t source them. I looked around and found ramentalk.us and let him know he could get them there, so he was really happy. I also contacted Ramen Talk to hopefully arrange for some samples. I’m certainly glad I did! These look really quite fascinating – they have a few varieties that I’ll be reviewing in short order as well, but this tonkotsu style sounds great – comes with lots of garnish – including a 7cm slice of chashu. On with the show!
I got a message from someone on instagram asking me if I’d tried varieties from a company called ‘Ramen Talk’ a couple weeks ago. They really wanted to know where they could get more of them because the locak place they could get them didn’t have any more. Well, I looked around and found ramentalk.us so I was able to get that info to him, and at the same time ask if they could send me some samples. Well, he’s happy and now I’m happy because I got some samples and boy, do these look great! It looks like a couple of them have large slices of chashu; one with octopus?? This should be a fun set to review but let’s start with the unboxing!
