There’s a few varieties in this Daebak range – and I’ll be trying them all, starting with this one! These are developed and coceived in South Korea by Shinsegae Food and produced by Mamee Doubledecker. I’ve had some of the Daebak pack version in the past, but it looks like the packaging and varieties have almost all changed – new stuff to try! Really excited about this. Let’s give seaweed soup noodle a try!
Well, here it is. The last of the three boxes. The day I did these unboxings I had the three as well as two others – was a long session of recording and then video editing, that’s for sure. Well, this is it. Now that I’ve done all these, I’m guessing a box will show up any minute from some exotic place – who knows? Let’s take a look.
Yeah – look at that. Only once before have I reviewed something with Carolina Reaper in it and I ended up writhing in pain on the floor for a few hours. Let’s have a look and see what else is in this second box of delicacies from Malaysia!
Every once in a while, I get something neat from the folks at Mamee Shinsegae in Malaysia. Well, this time it was three somethings – three boxes full of noodles which I’ve not tried. Let’s take a look at this, the first of the three.
It’s true – some like it hot. This list is comprised of the hottest varieties I’ve tried – that are currently available as far as I can tell. In prior years, there were some that were so hot that the #1 on here was like cotton candy. That being said, I’m guessing there weren’t many repeat customers. One thing I’ve noticed – spicy is in. This list tends to be the most popular on my website The Ramen Rater every single day. People just want to get all the spicy they can get. Why is that? Spicy is intense. Spicy compliments flavor. Spicy will knock you on your butt. The challenge and chase for the endorphin rush that ultra spicy things give people is extremely tempting for many. Today, I decided to make something spicy. Really spicy! I had a six pack of these Mamee Shinsegae Ghost Pepper Chicken cups sitting here – I’ve done the mukbang and the review – so why not… BREAD?! They have dark noodles and sauce sachets – this one was sure to burn – and it does. Let’s check it out!

I’ve been enjoying spicy instant noodles for years now and these are some pretty lethally spicy ones. I thought to myself last night that I should get going on these spicy reviews. Felix at Mamee was so nice to send over a box – twice since there was a kerfuffle with customs the first time. So I resigned myself that today I’d probably be doing a mukbang. But…
Usually, this is a summer list, coming out late July or early August. No more. Why? A couple of reasons – first, I’ve been busy. The whole diet and exercise thing has kind of taken over my life – which is good and a pain at the same time. I do a LOT of walking – often 15 miles in a day. This takes a lot of time and so there’s that. The other reason is that I’ve heard many ask why this list doesn’t come later in the year when it’s colder.
Here’s another one from Mohd – the last of the ones he sent (please feel free to send more varieties and thank you again!) – this is a collaboration between Malaysian company Mamee and South Korean style company Shinsegae. This is a spicy kimchi soup – let’s hit it up!
So yesterday was my birthday, and one of the best I’ve had yet. This one was a little different; usually I’m all about going out somewhere to eat or partying up. I had a couple goals for my birthday. One was to do a mukbang of this one and publish it yesterday – which I was able to do.
I was contacted by a guy at Mamee in Malaysia about a new ultra spicy variety . I was game. He sent them. They arrived the day before my birthday and Miles and I cracked them open! Let’s check ’em out!
This one was sent by a person named Shoffee in Malaysia – my thanks! This is truly something I’d never be able to review without a reader sending it in. From what I’m getting on the package, it looks to be much like the popular fire noodles. At the very least, it’s definitely influenced by them. Let’s give them a try!
