Found this one at Boo Han Market along with another one. Rapokki is a great thing I really enjoy – a pairing of tteokbokki (cylindrical rice cake) and ramyun (Korean instant noodle). That texture combo alongside a sweet and spicy sauce is really wonderful. Let’s try this variety.
Assi Kimchi Rapokki – United States
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains shrimp. To prepare, add everything in and 150ml room temperature water Rest lid on top loosely and microwave 3.5 minutes at 700W. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, pepper thread, scallion, sesame seed, and kamaboko. Noodle came out great but the tteokbokki was slightly underdone – much too chewy. The sauce was tasty, but I think the water line was a little low for this one. That being said, this wasn’t horrible by any stretch of the imagination. Sweet and spicy, dual texture, and bits of kimchi in therre. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 081652085799.
