Found this at Fred Meyer the other day (Kroger). It wasn’t in the Asian foods area, but with the domestic stuff which was interesting. I wasn’t a big fan of their initial variety (standard ultra spicy dry clone) but this has promise. Says it’s spicy too – let’s find out.
Fire Bull Stir Fried Ramen Carbonara – United States

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle 4 minutes in 600ml water. Drain, saving 8 spoons water (8*15ml=120ml) – about half a cup. Add everything in. Finally, stir and enjoy!

One of the four individual packs.

An instant noodle block.

A sachet of powder seasoning base.

A sachet of liquid base.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added chashu, egg, pepper thread, scallion, sesame seed, and narutomaki. Noodle is very thick and soft – just right. The sauce is really nice too. I will break your hearts – the idea that this is on fire as far as spiciness is a misnomer. Maybe 0.25x compared to a competitor. Regardless, the savory creamy carbonara is very satisfying and this is worth your time if you like flavor over fire. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 860009763791.
