Here’s one that came in a Zenpop.jp box – use coupon code THERAMENRATER for a groovy discount!

Here’s what they had to say about it – ‘Experience the taste of Wakayama with our Wakayama ramen🗾! We have chosen this classic Wakayama ramen as our featured ramen for the snack box of the month📆📦, aligning with the theme of sharing the essence of Japanese summer through the Kansai prefecture, especially Wakayama and Setouchi. And what exactly is Wakayama ramen🤔? The ramen soup is typically Tonkotsu Shoyu, but it is usually prepared with minimal garlic, backfat, or none of them. Instead, they enhance the flavor with an extra amount of black pepper. The noodles are commonly thin, straight and yellow. These noodles are expertly crafted to replicate the authentic texture that will transport you to ramen heaven👼. For the soup, they use the renowned “Kurasho Taru-jikomi” from Yuasa Soy Sauce Co., Ltd. This special ingredient adds a unique depth and richness to the soup, elevating the flavor to new heights. So, whether you’re a ramen aficionado or new to the game, our Wakayama Ramen are here to deliver a delicious and authentic experience. Get ready to slurp your way to satisfaction and savor the taste of Wakayama in every bite🌎✨!’

Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).

The noodle block.

A large sachet of liquid base.

A dehydrated ingredients sachet.

More dehydrated bits.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, chashu, sesame seed, shichimi, mung bean sprout, spring onion. Disappointing showing here. A very muddy and earthy broth fails to satify – the noodle was decent at least. The included thin slice of meat was revolting – gritty pork. Narutomaki lookeed neat at least. 1.0 out of 5.0 stars.  JAN bar code
