Might seem peculiar, but I’m back. Took almost a month off while the boy was doing summer school. He enjoyed it and while there I walked with my daughter all over the place. She’s six, but she did a 9.6 mile walk with me the other day – not bad! Anyways, this one I think came by way of James from Lakeside, California – thanks! Let’s made some Chinese broad noodle – Hoping they’re good!

Guangyou Spicy Wide Noodle – China

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add boiling water and steep 6-8 minutes. Stir. Drain. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Very broad noodles.

A sachet of dry base.

A liquid base sachet.

I’m guessing this is the spicy element.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added sesame seed, scallion, and crushed red pepper. Broad noodle hydrated quite well after 8 minutes. The flavor was good – like a tangy and spicy profile – it was Sichuan pepper heat, however not overwhelming, but a good balance. 4.75 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 6914790160629.
