I hear it already – ‘but it’s from Korea!’ Look. Just humor me. Look. Lower left. Made in USA. Unless you visited South Korea and brought some back from Canada (they’re probably from their Chinese factory if so), then you’ve been eating Korean style instant noodles made in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Their factory is a really neat place – first one I ever had the fortune to visit and it was really neat.
This is one that I have liked for years and seen it go through many different changes. Today we have a packaging change – and if I’m not mistaken, the beef broth tag is a new thing. Time to give it a try.
Nongshim Shin Black With Beef Bone Broth – United States
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains beef. To prepare, add everything to 550ml boiling water and cook for 4 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A dry sachet of soup base.
A sachet of Sul-Long-Tang base.
A vegetables sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added marinated egg, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, mushroom, pepper flake, spring onion, and sesame seed. Noodle is very toothsome and thick. Broth is very savory and spicy with a good heartiness to it. Definitely like the beef bone broth inclusion – a good one. Very impressed. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 031146013524.
