Here’s one that came in a Zenpop.jp box – use coupon code THERAMENRATER for a groovy discount!

Here’s what they had to say about this one – ‘Somen noodles (そうめん) are usually quite light, and this one is no exception. This smaller version is for when you’re hungry, but not that much. With warm yuzu flavor, the soup has a very characteristic scent, and plenty of pleasing aromas.’

Basically a thin noodle and yuzu and shrimp. Okay – let’s do this.

Finished (click to enlarge).  Added narutomaki, chashu, mung bean sprouts, shichimi, sesame seed, and spring onion. Noodle is thin and light with a round sape – I rather liked them. The broth was a yuzu and shrimp flavor which was somewhat playful and aloof without being so connected to strong flavors that it was pretty good. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 49698398.
