You may have seen my review of this one’s creamy counterpart. That one was really good – curious how this will be. Nope – not ramen, but should be nice. Let’s give it a whirl!
Nongshim Taekyung x Pinkfong Baby Shark Sweet & Spicy Topokki – South Korea
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, rince rice cake with cold water. Add rice cake and 110ml water to a pot and bring to a boil. Add sachet contents then lower heat and simmer 3~4 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, narutomski, scallion, and sesame seed. The topokki has a nice chew – soft and very good mouthfeel. The sauce – it is incredibly mild spicy – in fact, it’s just sweet and tasty. It does remind me of Beefaroni – very much so. This isn’t a cut mind you, but I’ve gotten blowback for describing topokki as ‘adult Beefaroni’ before and this is definitely an adult Beefaroni – but for kids. Whatever you call it, it’s insanely yummy stuff. For a ‘not ramen’ – 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8809832941015.
