Here’s what they had to say about this one – ‘Miso ramen is always good to have in storage, and originally comes from Sapporo, Hokkaido where they have freezing winters. This one is part of a local series using fresh ingredients. With smooth noodles, this miso soup is made with flavored vegetables that really bring out the flavor of the shrimp. It’s topped with deep-fried shrimp, red pickled ginger, fried balls, minced soybeans, green onions, and chili peppers.’
Sapporo miso, eh? Alright let’s do it.

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains pork and shrimp. To prepare, fill to line with boiling water and cover for 3 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.
Loose bits from the cup.
A liquid base sachet from the lid.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added spring onion, mung bean sprouts, narutomaki, chashu, shichimi, and sesame seed. Noodles were alright – nothing extremely fancy. The broth was a little surprising – strong shrimp taste, but the miso end of the stick was very light; pretty much nonexistant. Not incredibly thrilling. 3.0 out of 5.0 stars.
