#5646: Nongshim Ramyun Spicy Broth & Vegetables – United States

Been wanting to try this one every since I saw it was out – saw it at 99 Ranch Market but ultimately got it at Boo Han Market in Edmonds, Washington. Dig that crazy font! It certainly looks like Shin from the imagery, however must be somewhat different. Let’s find out! Made in South Korea and packaged for US sale.

A single from the multipack.

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge).

An instant noodle block.

A sachet of soup base powder seasoning.

A seconds powder base sachet, very curious.

A sachet of vegetables.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, Chinese sausage, pepper thread, sesame seed, and scallion. Noodle is of a very good gauge and chew – definitely the classic ramyun style. The broth has very nice elements of ramyun and perfectly presented. There’s spiciness, no bitterness, and a tanginess as well as the anchovy which is so good. Veg is in order as well. All in all, I’m thrilled with this one and highly recommend it – happy birthday, Nongshim! 5.0 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 031146045945.
