Time for the second variety from the mega bucket! Found this at the new Y&Y Supermarket in Lynnwood, Washington. Was the only thing I got but there were quite a few other things I wish I had. It’s a big bucket maybe 15 orso inches tall, containing a lot of different varieties. $13 was indeed a good deal for such a large thing. CNY promos are where it’s at! Let’s try this one out.

Well, here we are. I like the package design. A let of these ‘flower pot’ style cups out there – let’s see if I like it as much as the red oil variety I tried last time.

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add in everything and fil to line with boiling water. Cover 3~5 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, sesame seed, scallion, and chili crisp. Thread hydrated very well – was happy with the gauge and quality. The broth was a very oily and strongly flavored variant. A good amount of Sichuan peppercorn flavor but not as much as others which I liked. The sour came from black vinegar which worked well and authentic. The included tofu skin was good. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 6958770002615.
