This one is an absolute favorite of mine, however I and others have noted some changes in taste from some of the newly named Otoki vs Ottogi. Hopefully, this remains a wonderfully smoky and spicy seafood wonder. Let’s find out!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, dumpling, fishball, scallion, sesame seed, and pepper thread. Noodle came out very well from the microwave cooking method – better than steeping as expected. While the broth has a nice seafood flavor, it seems very different from the smoky flavor I expected which was a major letdown – very unhappy about that. The oil adds a nice touch of head.
