Here’s what they had to say about this one – ‘Get ready to chow down on the ultimate low-sugar, high-protein cup noodles with a spicy kick! “Locabo Deli” by Acecook has just released their latest collaboration with Coco Curry and it’s going to blow you away! These noodles are unlike anything you’ve ever tasted – made with Acecook’s unique technology, they’re loaded with protein and dietary fiber, with absolutely no added sugars. And to take things up a notch, they’ve kneaded in some fragrant ginger into the noodles, which pairs perfectly with the spicy curry soup. Speaking of the soup, it’s a pork-based curry with a rich and savory vegetable flavor. Packed with flavorful spices and veggies, every spoonful will tantalize your taste buds and leave you feeling fully satisfied without any pesky sugar spikes. And let’s not forget the delicious toppings – soybean minced meat, fluffy potatoes, onions, green onions, and carrots – that add the perfect finishing touch. So why settle for boring, sugary cup noodles when you can indulge in the delicious, healthy goodness of “Locabo Deli”?’

I like the idea of no added sugar, mainly because the saltiness and sweetness of many Japanese curries put me off a bit. Let’s give it a try!

The noodle block.

A dry powder base sachet.

A sachet of garnish.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, chicken, green onion, sesame seed, mung bean sprouts, and crushed red pepper. Noodle is of a good quality, hence the five minute steep on them. The broth is pretty good – thickness works well, onion and potato prevalent. It’s not so sweet that it puts me off completely, but it’s a little on the tough end of the stick for me to get with. 3.0 out of 5.0 stars.  JAN bar code 4901071211738.
