A neat thing recently is how my son who has been incredibly inflexible on foods he would try now is interested in noodles. Albeit only dry varieties as he’s not into soup whatsoever, it’s quite a departure for him and really nice to see. He actually ate a pack of Indomie on two occasions recently for dinner! The thing we do is exclude the fried onion – it’s all about texture for him and those wonderful little bits would kill it for him still. I think he’ll get there one of these days though. Let’s cook it up!

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). To prepare, boil noodle 3 minutes and drain. add in sachet contents and combine. Finally, sprinkle fried onion on top and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added fried egg, scallion, sauteed chicken, shichimi. Noodle is that great Indomie gauge and chew. The flavor on this one is pretty darn good, but it’s got some things going on that are a little off. There’s a bit of a push-pull with the chicken and smoky taste here which I’m not completely thrilled about. A little head and sweet there is nice and of course the little bits of fried onion are great. But in the end, it just seems a little off. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8994693002312.
