Found this one at HMart. The Otoki variants are for the US while Ottogi ones are for the Korean market – at least that’s what it seems like, but I could be wrong on that as I don’t have any official comment from the company. What I do know is that westerners saying Otoki is closer to the hard g/soft k kinda thing. Anyways, let’s have a nice kimchi bowl!

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add in sachet contents and boiling water to inner line. Cover for 4 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

An instant noodle block.

A sachet of soup base powder seasoning.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, scallion, pepper thread, sesame seed, and ground beef. Steeping this ended up with a spongy noodle and I wish I had microwaved it. Microwaving would have made the noodle come out much better. The broth is great – spicy and tangy. Scads of kimchi throughout which is the true win for this one and it adds a freshness and savoriness to the broth. Despite the noodle, this is incredibly good. 4.25 out of 5.0 stars.
