Just over 2 years ago, I reviewed the local Korean version of this one. Found this at HMart which was a bit of a shock; their single pack selection has been abyssmal recently… I wish we had the RT Mart that was in Taiwan I got to visit – holy crap that place had the mother of all noodle aisles – singles and multipacks of everything – both sides, long as a Costco aisle – no joke. Anyways, enough thinking about that – let’s give it a try.
Samyang Cream Carbonara Buldak Spicy Ramen – United States

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). To prepare, boil noodle in 2.5 cups water for 5 minutes and drain, saving 1/2 cup. Add it back in and add sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

An instant noodle block.

A sachet of liquid soup base.

A sachet of soup base powder seasoning.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added chashu, pepper thread, sesame seed, and scallion. A wider noodle than the standard – worked quite well and that of the new generation ramyun that debuted maybe 8 or 9 years ago during the army stew era. The sauce is exquisite – while fully creamy and savory, it also brings the heat. In comparison to other Buldak, it is quite reserved though – if you’re just in it for the burn, this isn’t for you. However if you like things that taste good, this is a wonderful variety. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8801073114814.
Amazon – Note this packaging and the one on top – chicken terminology just getting smaller!
