Here’s another Otoki variety for the United States and another packaging redesign. I don’t recall doing a tempura udon bowl before though… Yeah, no – I haven’t. Let’s give it a whirl!
Otoki Tempura Udon Noodle Soup – United States
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains shrimp and fish. To prepare, add in sachet contents and fill to line with room temperature water. Microwave 5m30s at 1000W. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added fish cake and scallion. The noodle was not well hydrated after 4 minutes – nor 5 minutes. It was very funky and maybe 7 minutes might hasve worked better. The broth was a simple tempura udon style broth. Not strong, and kind of meh. The included bits hydrated well. No getting past that noodle though. Disappointed. 0.25 out of 5.0 stars.
