I’ve tried a few of the soup varieties that Annie Chun’s makes, so I thought perhaps I’ll give the ones that are more saucy a shot. Previously, the soupy ones didn’t fare too well. Maybe these are better?
We start with a Thai pad thai – which usually means a lot of sauce and peanut flavor. Let’s give it a try.
Annie Chun’s Thai Style Pad Thai Noodle Bowl – United States
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Says it is Vegan friendly but check for yourself. To prepare, add dry toppings sachet into the bowl and the noodles on top. Add 1/4 cup water, place lid on top loosely, and microwave for 90 seconds. Let bowl sit in microwave for 30 seconds. Add sauce and peanuts sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodles pouch.
A sauce sachet.
A dry sachet of toppings.
A sachet of crushed peanuts.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added spring onion. The noodle was a little on the underdone side which was surprising. The tough part was the flavor. This resembled chow mein honestly; a sweetness and almost a black vinegar hit to it; it just didn’t feel pad thai like except that iyt had peanuts, and peanuts are a common addition to noodles, so… Again, just flummoxed. I want to find one I find remotely wonderful. 0.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 65667100806.
