Say! Here’s a new one – I was contacted by Bias about a new non-fried, Vegan friendly, and low-cal ramyun that’s supposed to be really tasty. Time to find out!
Bias Apgu Red Chili Instant Noodles – United States

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, Add sachet contents and 400ml boiling water. Cover for 4 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

An instant noodle block.

A sachet of soup base powder seasoning.

A sachet of vegetables.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added chashu, egg, sesame seed, pepper thread, scallions, and kimchi. Noodle is very good – has a nice tooth and gauge – not as thick as I would expect from a ramyun, but hey – this is ‘modern Korean’ style as they say. The broth is very balanced. Nice bit of heat, definitely has a chicken taste mumbling something in there. Very savory stuff. Veg concoction is on point. It’s compelling stuff – I wanted to figure out what made this broth so compelling and I realized it after I did the video shoot and the pictures – It doesn’t have that bitterness I find with the peppers in most standard spicy ramyun, something I mention and complain about. It’s good stuff and I highly approve – both thumbs up. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 850070043076.
