So, what do we have here? Well, this is vermicelli, aka bihun. Why is this special? It’s made from corn. I’ve never heard of a corn based noodle before – very curious! Suprama, the company that makes this is the same company that makes Best Wok Mi Goreng, which is on the 2022 edition of the global top ten list. Let see how this stuff tastes and chews!

Since the noodle doesn’t come with seasoning, I’m using this mi goreng seasoning from the same company.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added fried egg, coriander, and chicken. This noodle is really quite fascinating. It is like its exactly in between a sweet potato thread in moisture and rice vermicelli in gauge. It works really well – not dry like rice vermicelli but not sloppy like sweet potato thread. I thoroughly enjoy this. For a noodle without seasoning, it definitely gets a 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8991688891207.
