#5600: Nissin Demae Ramen Kyushu Tonkotsu Flavor With Japanese Takana - Hong Kong

Here’s another one from HongKongFoodies.com! Go check ’em out as they’ve got a treasure trove of hard to find Demae Iccho variants! This one sounds interesting – but what is takana? From what I see it’s giant mustard green and has a peppery flavor. That sounds good – especially in tonkotsu. Let’s give it a go.

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle in 450ml water for 3 minutes. Add in powder base and stir. Finally, top with liquid base and enjoy!

Two bundles of ramen.

A sachet of soup base powder seasoning.

A sachet of seasoned oil.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added chili crisp, sesame seed, scallion, narutomaki, egg, and chashu. Noodle’s great – thin straight ramen. The broth is interesting – very oily with tonkotsu flavor and a little extra zing which I suppose must be the takana. It’s definitely a good one and something I’ve not seen before. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 4897878850099.
