#5335: Surasang '88 Seoul Rapokki - South Korea

This is the third review of the day and this is a fingers crossed situation of saving the best for last. I love rapokki – ramyun is paired with tteokbokki with a sweet and spicy sauce. This can go awry though, especially if the cooking instructions are iffy. I’m hoping we’re gonna make something rad. Let’s start.

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add everything and room temp water to line. Stir well.  Microwave at 1000W for 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).

An instant noodle block.

A pouch of tteokbokki.

A large sachet of powder base.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, sliced pork belly, scallion, sesame seed, and fish cake. Noodle and tteokbokki came out pipng hot and perfectly hydrated. The sauce was spot on – sweet, spicy, just right. There was a slight grit to it, so I recommend stirring a lot more at the outset. A really nice, easy to prepare rapokki – delightful. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 087703074187.
