You may have seen this before – on my top ten global noodles list. It’s incredibly good and the folks at A-Sha sent me the new packaged version. Read the review and I’ll go over changes if any to the product. Hope they haven’t as it was great.
A-Sha Spicy Dan Dan Meteor Noodles – Taiwan
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle for 5 minutes. Drain, saving a spoon of water. Add everything together. Finally, stir and enjoy!

A sachet of sesame paste.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added chili thread, scallion, chashu, sesame seed, and egg. Noodle is perfect after 5 minutes – brilliant chew and mouthfeel. The flavor bounced from acrid, sweet, a little spiciness, and sesame – just like dan dan should. It just wonderful and it’s been a while since I had it and yet again, it’s a winner. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 193937002091.
