Here’s a variety that I found in one of MiauMall’s Nakama Noodles subscription boxes! These boxes are discontinued, however you can find their stuff at MiauMall – here is what they said about this one – “”Most of the fun this holiday season happens when the sun goes down. That’s why we got you a classic bowl of yakisoba inspired by nighttime shops and stalls! These noodles come with a tasty sauce and a slightly spicy mayo for tons of tasty yakisoba flavor and goodness!”
I’ve enjoyed this variety for years and this is packaged a little different than I’ve seen before. Let’s cook it up!
Myojo Ippei-Chan Night Shop Yakisoba – Japan
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains pork, To prepare, add boiling water to line and cover 3 minutes. Drain. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and top with mayonnaise!
Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).
An instant noodle block.
A sachet of liquid soup base.
A sachet of powder seasoning.
A sachet of mayonnaise.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added sesame seed, scallion, and fried egg. Noodle is perfect – not too chewy, not too soft. The flavor is that tamarind-forward tanginess – and then the mayonnaise which has a nice creaminess and little bite to it. Included veg was cabbage strong! Definitely love this so much. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4902881048651.
