Here’s a variety that I found in one of MiauMall’s Nakama Noodles subscription boxes! These boxes are discontinued, however you can find their stuff at MiauMall – here is what they said about this one – “We’re closing out our selection with a more traditional December choice, perfect for ringing in the New Year! This tasty mini-bowl combines tsuyu (a shoyu-based sauce) with delectable dashi for a tasty broth with yummy soba noodles and tasty tempura on top!”
This is a tiny bowl – you only add 170ml water! I’ve got a neat new bowl to try with it. Let’s give it a try!
Maruchan Midori No Tanuki Ten-Soba Mini – Japan
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains shrimp and pork. To prepare, add 170ml boiling water and cover 3 minutes. Add in sachet contents and stir. Finally, garnish with tempura and enjoy!

A disc of tempura.
An instant noodle block.
Loose bits from the mini bowl.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added scallion. Noodle came out decent and I’m usually not a big fan of soba. The soup has a fish and sweet and salty hit to it, and the disc of tempura offers a nice crunch. Really liked this – it was a favorite of mine very early on and still good – one single piece of kamaboko! 4.0 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4901990024525.
