Here’s one that came in a Zenpop.jp box – use coupon code THERAMENRATER for a groovy discount!

Here’s what they had to say about it – ‘Did you know Ramen is originally a Chinese dish? This bowl pays homage to the historic legacy of the dish by featuring a Chinese inspired bowl design and suggesting Wonton dumplings as topping for the dish. But the design is not just there for show, the noodles are wonton style and are flavored with iconic sesame oil. To round out the temptation, they are non-fried noodles, making them slightly healthier, but makes up for this with extra richness from not just chicken and pork, but oyster sauce as well!’

I’ve actually had this – maybe a different version – many years ago – last one was 5 years ago here.

The noodle block.

A liquid base sachet.

A clear sachet of wantan and vegetable.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added narutomaki, chashu, spring onion, egg, and mung bean sprout. Noodle is thin with a nice chewiness. Broth had a miso kind of flavor – balanced and not too red. The included wantan were very goods – hydrated well and tasty. Quite happy here. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars.  JAN bar code 4902520125517.
