These straight soba noodles go down oh-so-smoothly and are the perfect match for the rich and flavorful soup that accompanies them and the tasty tempura topping. The soup is made with mellow and deep flavored whole soybean soy sauce and Yaizu-processed bonito flakes, ensuring that every bite is bursting with bold, delicious flavor. So why wait? Treat yourself to a bowl of Nissin’s specialty material series today and indulge in the taste of perfection!’

I generally poo-poo these types of cups, but you never know. It’s been a while! Let’s give it a go.

I’ve been reviewing instant noodles since 2002, doing episodes of Instant Noodle Recipe Time, The Chocolate Break with my wife, Professional Mukbang, Unboxing Time With The Ramen Rater and more. Right now, we’re in a pretty crummy financial situation and hoping that some of the fans will be able to help out – a lot of bills, loss of some resources, and ongoing illness have all contributed to being a perfect storm which is very hard. Big thank you to all who have already!! Please check the link here for details – thank you.

#4732: Nissin no Edosoba - Japan

Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).

A buckwheat noodle block.

Loose seasoning from the cup.

A small disk of tempura.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added flower fu, narutomaki, sesame seed, and spring onion. Buckwheat soba – not my fave but quality is there. The broth has a strong bonbito hit and an underlying sweetness. Inclusion are plentiful – tempura, flower kamaboko… I just really don’t like tempura soba – that being said. if you do – this is a good one. 3.0 out of 5.0 stars.  JAN bar code 4902105258309.
