Here’s what they had to say about it – “On 18 September 1971, Nissin introduced us to Cup Noodle (カップヌー ドル, Kappu Nūdoru), the world’s first-ever instant cup noodle. This was
only a few years after instant noodles were invented in 1958 by Momofuku Ando, the Taiwanese-born founder of the Japanese food company Nissin. He used Chicken Ramen as the first instant ramen noodles. Now, 50 years later, they’re surprising us with a new series of Cup Noodle, which combines eight of their best-selling flavors in a way we’ve never seen before, and they’re calling it the Cup Noodle Super Combined series. For your ramen pack, we’ve gotten our hands on the Siupoodle, a combination between the original Cup Noodle and Cup Noodle Shio (塩
salt). Nissin Cup Noodles has been warming our bellies and putting smiles on our faces. The original instant ramen in a cup. It’s about to become your favorite quick, easy and portable meal just keeps getting better The classic Cup Noodle is an addictive soup with a scent of smoked olives, and you’ll quickly notice which one is the dominant flavor. But the
combination of smoked olives and the usual pepper soy sauce is exquisite. It makes you wonder, why didn’t they start these combinations sooner?”
This one is definitely pretty awesome – really hope they include more 50th Anniversary Cup Noodle varieties in future boxes. Let’s check it out!
