I got a phonecall the other day from a guy in Georgia. He said a family member in Taiwan had come up with a new noodle variety and that they were interested in me trying it. Well, a week later it arrived at my door en masse! I decided it would be great to give it a try and so here we are. Let’s give it a go!

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodles for 6~7 minutes and drain. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added sesame seed, fried egg, Sichuan pepper powder, scallion, and chashu. The noodle texture was very much on point. A little chewy and a nice mouthfeel. The flavor was a nice balance of salty, sweet and spicy I thoroughly enjoyed. The scallion imparted a sweetness and the Sichuan peppercorn flavor level was very good. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. No bar code.
