#1310: Thai Kitchen Rice Noodle Cart Thai Peanut

My wife got me this one for Christmas! Thanks, Kit! The last one of these I tried was pretty good – curious how this one will be – let’s check it out.

The back of the packaging (click image to enlarge). Contains peanut and fish. To prepare, put the noodles, and vegetable packet as well as 2 tablespoons of water in the supplied bowl. Add the sauce mix and cover the bowl loosely. Microwave for 2 minutes and let sit for 1 minute. Uncover carefully, stir well and add peanut garnish. Eat eat eat!

Under the cardboard outer.

The fresh noodle pouch.

Dehydrated vegetable sachet.

Nice little mixture – has a slightly spicy scent.

The sauce sachet.

A little bit of the sauce.

Topping sachet.

Little peanut bits.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added shrimp, huge green onion, Fresno pepper and BonCabe Level 10 chilli seasoning. The noodles are great – fresh and good consistency. The flavor the sauce brings is slightly spicy and has a lot of ginger going on. Interesting stuff. The veggies are nice although sparse and the peanuts add a nice little crunch. 3.0 out of 5.0 stars.  UPC bar code 737628010271.

#1284: Thai Kitchen Rice Noodle Cart Sweet Citrus Ginger

Here’s one my wife got for me for Christmas! Thanks, Kitten! There are a myriad of these noodle trays in the US market that I’ve not reviewed and this is one of them. Let’s have a look!

The back of the package (click image to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, empty all the contents except garnish  into the tray. Add 2 tablespoons of water and loosely cover with lid. Microwave for 2 minutes Let sit for 1 minute. Open, stir and add garnish – enjoy!

Here’s what’s under the cardboard outer.

The fresh noodle package.

Liquid sachet.

Smells good!

Vegetable sachet.

A nice little assortment.

The garnish sachet.

Sesame seeds!

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added shrimp with BonCabe chilli powder seasoning and lime. The noodles are great – nice and chewy with a fresh feel. The flavor was really good too – a little sweet and with a decent citrus element that wasn’t overwhelming. The vegetables hydrated well and the sesame seeds were a nice touch. 4.25 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 737628010240.

#761: Thai Kitchen Garlic & Vegetable Instant Rice Noodle Soup

Here’s one that’s been in the hamper for a while – time to try!

Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge).

Rice noodles.

Seasoning packet of silver!

Curious on this one as I don’t see any vegetables.

A seasoned oil mixture.

Very slight tint to it.

Finished (click image to enlarge). This one was a bit of a shock as to how tasty it is! The noodles are delicate and wonderful. The broth has a sweetness to it which is interesting. If you want something light tasting, this is probably something you would like. Comfort food caliber. The downside is that when something mentions vegetable, I like to see some. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 73762803002 – get it here.

Thai street food

Thai pop music – I dunno the Kpop and Jpop seemed a bit more catchy.

#664: Thai Kitchen Bangkok Curry Instant Rice Noodle Soup

Curry. Always sounds good to me! Thai curry usually is a very tasty thing to behold – let’s see if this pack does it justice.

Here’s everything on the back (click image to enlarge).

Rice noodle block. Hoping these aren’t bad.

Seasoning powder and oil.

I decided to try steeping these.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added one fried egg with a little Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning, some Kizami Shoga (pickled ginger), a little bok choy and finally some Ajishima Kimchi Furikake.  Well, the noodles weren’t all that great – kinda funky. The broth was excellent though – very nice flavor. Middle of the road here; 2.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC barcdoe 737628047000 – get it here.

A guy goes to Newcastle and checks out Rupali restaurant, home of the hottest curry

This sounds good – Thai Curry Salmon

#596: Thai Kitchen Lemongrass & Chili Instant Rice Noodle Soup

Yeah, I know – two ramens in one day? But these be small. Anyways, I wanted to see if switching back to a different camera worked better. I’m still unsure… Lemongrass and chili eh? Okay let’s do this.

Here’s the back panel… Click image to enlarge.

Chili oil and powder seasoning.

Awaiting the noodles and water.

Click image to enlarge. Added an egg. Well, much like the last review, the stuff sucked up most all of the water. The difference this time however is that its funky. The pungent lemongrass flavor overwhelms; felt like I was eating a bowl of tartar sauce. Really disappointing. 1.5 out of 5.0 stars. Find it here.

Haha – bad fish sauce sounds raunchy!

#517: Thai Kitchen Thai Ginger Instant Rice Noodle Soup

So I let my wife pick between two packs of noodles and she picked this as the one I should eat today! Thai Ginger sounds really good to me – I like Thai flavors and I like ginger a lot. Let’s see how this tastes!

An oil packet and a seasoning packet. Nothing too surprising here, although I do like seeing more than one packet in a more ‘domestic’ pack of noodles.

Looks great from here! So I was kind of surprised how it requires only one cup of water to cook. But then…

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added an egg. The rice noodles were quite good – they weren’t weak, but almost melted in my mouth – reminiscent of the old Mrs. Grass soup I remember from being a kid with the flu. The broth ended up being thicker and heartier than most. The flavor was almost buttery and very satisfying – a hint of ginger – not too much, not too little. I would term this as succulent. I really enjoyed it – 4.25 out of 5.0 stars! Find it here.

Wow this looks really good! Thai Ginger Chicken!!!

#481: Thai Kitchen Roasted Garlic Rice Noodle Bowl

So I noticed that the previous review of the Mushroom flavor was a rice noodle soup bowl as opposed to a rice noodle bowl. Interesting. Anyways, here’s another Thai Kitchen bowl.

Three packets – powder soup base, dehydrated veggies and a reddish seasoned oil, perhaps a chili oil?

Here it is all sitting atop the noodles. Looks nice and colorful!

Click image to enlarge. I really was quite happy with this one. The noodles were very good first off. Second, the soup was very rich and garlicky and I love garlic. There were little bits of garlic floating around too! The oil gave it a lovely sheen and color I’m used to seeing in more exotic instant noodle varieties such as MAMA brand from Thailand. Good show for a Thai style noodle bowl sold in the USA made in China. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. Get some here.

This looks absolutely awesome – I’d eat it forever.

Yeah – more Slurpee commercials…

#480: Thai Kitchen Mushroom Rice Noodle Soup Bowl

Tried the Spring Onion last week and thought it was good so thought I ought to see if I can find more of these. Sure enough, found a couple at Safeway.

Three packets – Powder, dehydrated veggies and seasoned oil.

Here’s the contents waiting for the boiling water.

Click image to enlarge. Finished. So Not bad – a decent amount of mushrooms and the noodles taste good. The broth was tasty too. Not usually a big fan of mushrooms but I like this – 3.25 out of 5.0 stars. Find it here.

This place is all happening – Lady Gaga music and everything…

I really dig on Slurpees…

#472: Thai Kitchen Spring Onion Rice Noodle Bowl

A brand I’ve never reviewed before I know. This one came from my mother in law! Thank you! Sounds like it should be tasty – spring onion sounds tasty.

I know I know it’s a white lid – big deal right? Well, kind of.. I’ve rarely seen a package with such a little amount of, well, anything! Of course this is underneath the cardboard boxing.

Okay three packets – sounds good to me! From the top going clockwise we have a powdered soup base, veggies (I’m going to take a chance and guess spring onions) and finally a seasoned oil.

Hey weird – the rice noodles are really short – never seen that before! Strange…

Click image to enlarge. Here’s the finished product with nothing added. Well, this one really was different. First time I’ve eaten one of these with a spoon! The noodles are very light and delicate. and somewhat mushy. The broth is very tasty and onion flavor abounds. Everything goes together very nicely – especially the nice amount of veggies. All in all, I am quite pleased with this one. What’s even more interesting is that this stuff is actually made in Thailand – didn’t really think it would be. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars – quite good! Find it here.
