So here’s what the folks at Japan Crate had to say about this variety -“The typical broth base for ramen in Japan are shio (salt), shoyu (soy sauce), miso (soybean paste), and tonkotsu (pork bone). Known for their konjac noodles, Nakaki Foods’ version adds an unusual twist of tomato flavoring this winter season for a new refreshing taste on the classic ramen dish.’

Nakaki Foods Tomato Ramen – Japan
Detail of the package (click to enlarge). Unsure whether it contains meat – check for yourself. To prepare, add 150ml to a pot and bring to a boil. Add sachet contents and stir. Add in large pouch contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle pouch – these are different from what I’m used to seeing. Should be interesting!
A dry sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added soft egg, spring onion, Velveeta cheese, and baked chicken with NuTek Salt For Life. The noodles are so weird I can’t handle it. They’re like chewing crumbly gel wrist rests I think – I dunno. Tubes of overcooked Jell-O gelatin? But they’re fascinating all the same. Tomato broth has a very good taste to it which I enjoyed. A very unique combo here which also is only 84 calories for the whole pack, but still so weird. 2.25 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4976166014426.
