Here’s the original review. It’s cold today so I thought it sounded good. I figure I should mention – there will be some new reviews very soon! I am working on a huge project that’s been taking so much time. A hint – it has to do with upgrading this blog! I’ve been editing every post and image. A lot of work let me tell you! It will definitely be worth it in the end!

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added kamaboko, stir fry vegetables, an egg, sweet onion and processed cheese. Awesome – just as good as last time – 4.75 out of 4.0 stars! UPC bar code 648436100705 .

#933: Paldo Kokomen Cup

Hey look! The Kokomen cup! Been waiting to try this one with some leftover Thanksgiving turkey!

The information panels (click image to enlarge).

The noodle block awaits!

The seasoning powder.

The seasoning powder. Spicy jalapeno and chicken yeeouch!

Here’s a little bit of thre veggies and the chicken.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added an egg with French’s French Fried Onions on top, turkey, Cavender’s Greek Seasoning and a little Urashima Sesame & Salt furikake. The noodles are nice and light in this version – very thin and tasty. I have found this style of noodle to be a little lacking before in cups, but I have to say that the noodle in combination with the broth is absolutely delightful. I must say that the Kokomen broth is truly one of my favorites on the market; it’s got that comfort chicken flavor kicked up with jalapeno – delicious! 4.5 out of 5.0 stars! It’s the day after Thanksgiving and I thought this would be nice to have. I’ve reviewed the Korean version in the past – this is the version for sale in the US.

Great stuff! 5.0 out of 5.0 stars! UPC bar code 648436100729 – get it here.

#927: Paldo Kokomen Spicy Chicken Flavor King Cup

Here’s some more Kokomen – this is the one sold in the USA! It’s a really rainy day today and some spicy chicken noodles sound really tasty! Let’s hit it!

Ahhh – Jalapeno and chicken powder! Smells great!

Those little white strips? Dehydrated chicken!

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added sliced turkey breast (how fitting for this week), sweet onion, Krazy Mixed Up Salt and Urashima Sesame & Salt furikake. The noodles are really good, although I think the pack variety’s offering is a little better. The broth is wonderful – a nice jalapeno chicken flavor. The veggies are nice and the little bits of chicken are neat to see. I love this stuff – jalapeno chicken noodle soup is right up my alley! Just like the Kko Kko Myun King Cup from Korea, I give it 4.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 648436100705 .

Re-Review: Paldo Bowl Noodle Soup Spicy Artificial Chicken Flavor

Been a while since I reviewed this one! Had it for #346 (check out the original review). I’m hungry – let’s go.

Side panels (click to enlarge).

The noodle block.

One packet of seasoning.

Bright red powder!

Here’s just a little of the veggies from the bottom of the bowl.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added some stir fry veggies, some baked chicken with Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning, a fried egg with Krazy Mixed Up Salt and some kizami shoga (pickled ginger). The noodles  are nice – light and buttery with a nice width. The broth is interesting; it is spicy but not burn your face off spicy and has a nice chicken flavor with some hints of cumin. I like it – 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 648436100255 – get it here.

Re-Review: Paldo Lobster Taste King Noodle

Last night, Obama got re-elected as the President, and here in Washington state, same-sex marriage was approved – as was the recreational use of marijuana. Quite an evening! Anyways, was fun watching the political process wind up and come to a close for this cycle. Now, on to the urgent task of noodle reviewing!  The last time I reviewed this one was back in February of ’11 and was #287 (link). I forgot how awesome the picture on this one – I love how it says ‘serving suggestion.’ It makes me think that this is one enormous king of the lobsters that wants you to serve it these self-flavored noodles! Roarrr!!! On a side note, if you look at the lower right hand side of the cup, you can see it says “Chitosan Oligosaccaride 2 mg.” What the heck is that?!?! What I got out of this Wikipedia article is that this is something that comes from the exoskeletons of crustaceans. It got me thinking – Chitosan… ChitoSlim? I remember commercials for ChitoSlim, a weight lossupplement. I found it and lo and behold it contains 1000 mg of Chitosan. I figure it’s basically like a super-fiber. Anyways, let’s continue.

The side panels (click to enlarge). Enjoy them – this took awhile!

The noodle block.

The seasoning packet.

Whoa – that’s a lot of red powder! Spicy red powder!

Here’s just a few bits from the mix at the bottom of the cup. Kamaboko and seaweed.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added sweet onions, two scrambled eggs with Tabasco Jalapeno sauce and topped with processed cheese and a little Krazy Mixed Up Salt, Texas Pete hot sauce and Urashima Sesame & Salt furikake. The noodles are nice – not mushy, but they kind of come together when chewed. Kind of hard to explain; not a negative either. The broth is nice – tasty and a little spicy. The little bit of veggies and kamaboko were good too. I liked it! 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 648436100279 – get it here.

Lots of spicy powder! Yes!

Some (not all) of the veggies from the bottom of the cup.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added thin rib eye, onion, stir fry veggies, kimchi and processed cheese. The noodles are good – nice gauge and chew and plenty of them. The broth is hot and spicy and has a nice asftertaste. The veggies are pretty good too. I like it – 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 648436100620 – get the pack version here.

#893: Paldo Bowl Noodle Soup Shrimp Flavor

I’d thought I’d had everyone’s bowl noodles by now but lo and behold, a shrimp flavor by Paldo. So let’s give it a try!

Detail from the lid.

The noodle block.

Seasoning powder packet.

Lots of seasoning powder!

Here’s the veggies in the bottom of the bowl.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added a two egg omelette, odeng, green bell pepper, yellow onion, broccoli, Huy Fong Sriracha chili sauce and some Krazy Mixed Up Salt – and a slice of processed cheese. The noodles aren’t bad – a slight bitt spongy. The broth has a seafood taste – a shrimp flavor is in there. Not overly salty either and a hint of spiciness. The veggies are okay and the little shrimp bits are great! A good lunch although wuold’ve like a little more from this bowl. 3.25 out of 5.0 stars.UPC bar code 648436100019 – get it here.

Re-Review: Meet The Manufacturer: Paldo Bibim Men Oriental Style Noodle

It’s been quite a while since I’ve had this one – thought it’d be a good one to finish Meet The Manufacturer: Paldo with. Hot day, cold noodles. I should also mention the last time I had this was review #118 – over 700 packs ago – and my tastes have changed a bit. I’m happy to say I like cold noodles nowadays.

Back of the package (click image to enlarge). Note the instructions on this one.

The noodle block – they look thinner.

Here’s the soup base you mix in.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added some chicken, Fresno chile peppers, a hard boiled egg and some Krazy Mixed Up Salt. Noodles are nice and are indeed thinner than the usual fare. The flavoring of the meal is great – sweet and spicy with a good flavor. Much more enjoyable this time around. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.UPC bar code 648436100057 – get it here.

Re-Review: Meet The Manufacturer: Paldo Jjajangmen Chajang Noodle

Here’s another interesting one – Jjajangmen. The last time I reviewed this, I had mixed it in like it mentions on the back. This time, I’m going to put it on top like in the picture!

Back of the package (click image to enlarge).

Looks like a big block of thick noodles.

A big packet of sauce. This isn’t a soup base – it’s a sauce.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Noodles are very chewy and the sauce is awesome; it seems like it’s beef laden but there’s no beef here. A very hearty and tasty meal! 4.0 out of 5.0 stars.UPC bar code 648436100590 .

Re-Review: Meet The Manufacturer: Paldo Hwa Ramyun With Soy Peptide

Here’s Paldo’s standard hot & spicy variety. Today and tomorrow are supposed to be the hottest days of the year here in the northwest – temps are supposed to hit 94 degrees today and 96 tomorrow. Hot and spicy sounds just about right! What’s Hwa though? Couldn’t figure that one out but here’s what the health info on soy peptide is! Anyways – I’m hungry – time to noodle it up!

Back of the packaging (click image to enlarge).

The noodle block.

The seasoning packet.

Salty and spicy stuff!

The veggies!

Looks like a decent amount.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added some kimchi, an egg, chicken and some Krazy Mixed Up Salt. The noodles are great – plentiful and nice gauge/texture. The broth has a strong spiciness to it with a nice flavor – not just hot but good taste as well. The veggies aren’t bad – and easily found. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars.UPC bar code 648436100422 – get it here.
