#5386: Myojo Ippei-chan Night Stall Addictive Salt Tare Yakisoba - Japan

Here’s a variety that I found in one of MiauMall’s Nakama Noodles subscription boxes! These boxes are discontinued, however you can find their stuff at MiauMall – here is what they said about this one – “Next up is a selection inspired by night sakura events! This yakisoba is features a salt tare sauce with tasty sesame oil and garlic for plenty of flavor. Add the “rich garlic mayonnaise” on top and you have an addictive yakisoba dish to enjoy under the cherry blossoms!”

Well, this is it. This is the last the varieties from the Nakama Noodles boxes I’ve got here. I’ll look through the hamper again, but I’m 99.9% sure this is the last one. I reviewed this a while back with packaging that proclaimed it was a new product, however it doesn’t in this iteration. Sounds good to me – let’s cook it up.

Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).

An instant noodle block.

A sachet of liquid soup base.

Seaweed, perhaps?

Mayonnaise!

Loose bits and seasoning from the tray.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added fried egg, chashu, chili thread, scallion, and sesame seed.  Nice gauge on the noodle – and what a huge quantity. The flavor is an oily shio with seaweed notes and the included mayonnaise gives things a good slippery mouthfeel. 54.0 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code  908881454131.
