Here’s a variety that I found in one of MiauMall’s Nakama Noodles subscription boxes! These boxes are discontinued, however you can find their stuff at MiauMall – here is what they said about this one – “After a night of haunts and scares, you’re going to need some comfort! This pack of abura soba is sure to provide a bit of comfort! Get tons of flavor too with non-fried noodles with a hint of garlic and a tasty soy sauce tare with hints of sesame oil, bamboo and grilled pork!”
Thick and chewy looking noodles in this one. It’s going to be kind of like a yakisoba but really greasy and as aforementioned, the thicker noodle.
Myojo Megami Abura Soba – Japan
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains pork and chicken. To prepare, boil noolde for 7 Minutes. Drain. Add sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
An instant noodle block.
A sachet of liquid soup base.
A sachet of furikake.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, narutomaki, Momofuku chili crunch, chashu, scallion, and sesame seed. Noodle is nice and thick. The flavor is really odd to me; I don’t get it – kind of bitter and spicy and funky. The furikake sounded nice but really didn’t work for me. 1.5 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4902881056878.
