#5122: Myojo Charumera Aomori Stamina Tare Garlic Shio Yakisoba - Japan

Here’s a variety that I found in one of MiauMall’s Nakama Noodles subscription boxes! These boxes are discontinued, however you can find their stuff at MiauMall – here is what they said about this one – “Let’s see what they had to say about this one – “Let’s head north to Aomori prefecture for some yummy yakisoba! This yakisoba features the popular stamina salt tare from the local Aomori brand Stamina Tare. With plenty of deep umami flavor and a hint of garlic, this stir-fried noodle dish is perfect for a celebration!”

I wasn’t sure if I’d tried this previously, however I hadn’t – it looked close, however it was a mazesoba. Let’s cook!

Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).

An instant noodle block.

Loose bits and seasoning from the tray.

A sachet of liquid soup base.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, chashu, scallion, mayonnaise, and sesame seed. Noodle is light and kind of fluffy. Flavor is a nice garlic and oily affair. Lots of cabbage in this one which was nice. It was all kind of dry though; the kind of dry that makes you hiccup. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars.  JAN bar code 4902881457804.
