When I found out about these, I was skeptical. I’ve been preaching two varieties – pizza and taco flavored. But dill pickle doesn’t make sense to me; dill pickles aren’t served warm unless on a hamburger as far as I know. On the bright side, they were at Walmart at $1.18. On the sad side, if they did do media kits of these, they didn’t send me one and I’m truly bummed about that. I’m trying these out on July 3rd and will release this post on the 5th, skipping the 4th as I’m guessing you’ve got better things to do than hear my thoughts about instant noodles on the 4th of July if you’re in the states. I did release a post yesterday though.
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported The Ramen Rater in recent times and over the years. We’re at a bit of an impasse at the moment as I’m asking for help yet again. Firstly, the problem I’m having is noodles – a short supply of stuff I’ve not reviewed, due to financial difficulties. In the more dire side of things, the computer I use to do everything you see, from video editing, image editing and writing, is failing horribly. It’s an older HP Omen PC – running an Intel 8800k CUP for the nerdier of you out there, 128GB ram and a 4
TB NVMe, and an older GeForce video card. Everything is, well, decaying. I think I got it in 2018 and it’s been on 99.5% of the time if not more since I got it. Really need a new one before this thing just explodes – if anyone can donate a newer machine. Drop me a line if you can help with noodles or wish to donate a machine. If you can help with a couple bucks, here’s a couple ways how.
I would also like to let you know that on Monday, July 7th, the big top ten cups list is coming – sure to enthuse and fascinate all – man, woman, and beast with delights from across the globe!
Well, with that I hope you’re having a great weekend – and let’s give these pickle noodles a try.

If you go to Walmart, you can get six of them in one of these flats (click to enlarge).
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, remove lid and add room temp water to line. Microwave 4 minutes at 1000W (I have a 1250W microwave and find 70% works well). Let stand for 1 minutes after cooking cycle is complete. Finally, stir and enjoy!

An instant noodle block.
Loose bits and seasoning from the cup.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added scallion and mayonnaise. The noodle came out fine. The dill flavor is incredibly strong; way too strong. I think the issue is that this flavor would worfk better if it were a cold noodle. I think done with some cold crumble seasoned ground beef, tomato, maybe a little cheese – that could work. However in this state it’s not palatable to me. I thought maybe the mayo and scallion combo could make it better but that’s definitely not what happened. It turned from just dill to a greasy glob of tartar sauce noodles. I may experiment further, but at this point I’m done. However, I do love these different varieties they keep coming out with and hope the continue – and more frequently. May pizza and taco be next! 0.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 070662409077.
Amazon – I guess if you like dill pickle, you can have this saltwater taffy
