Here’s what they had to say on this one – “Sundob is extra soft tofu, popular in Korean dishes such as sundobu-jjigae or soft tofu stew. The deep flavor of this Korean-inspired soup comes from pork and clams as well as garlic and chile. The medium-thick noodles retain a good chewiness and are very easy to eat! This spicy and umami-full soup is topped with a combination of kimchi, tofu, green onions and chili.”

They also mention to ‘cook an egg through the hot soup as they do in Korea.’ Let’s give this a try.

Loose seasoning from the cup. Note the little cubes of tofu.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg yolk, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, black sesame seed, spring onion, and chili flake. Noodles hydrated well and had a pretty decent gauge / mouthfeel. The broth was kind of a kimchi thing with a slight bitterness on the backend. Pieces of soft tofu and big pieces of kimchi. 2.5 out of 5.0 stars.  JAN bar code 4901734038801.
