Another one from James of Lakeside, CA – thanks again! So, what have we here? Well, this is a special ramen – clam flavor (shijimi) – specially about sumo (chikara). Clam noodle soup for wrestlers. Sounds interesting – let’s check it out!

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains clams. To prepare, boil noodles for 4 minutes in 600ml water. At the 3rd minute, add the garnish sachet contents. Add in the wet sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, spring onion, sesame seed, chashu, sansyo, chili flake, and chili oil. Noodles were to stiff and chewy for my liking. Just too much backbone – like gnawing on composite video cables. Broth was decent with a strong clam taste but a bitter back. 1.5 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4976651083791.
