Welcome to the sixth installment of Show Your Noodles! The fifth week had no submissions so that was a real bummer. On the bright side, this week there were a whopping three submissions – first time with that many! Great job people, keep it up! As always, my wife Kit did the judging and without further adieu, we start with first, then second and third place.
In first place is Oana T. from Bratislava, Slovakia with hey bright red bowl! Here’s what she had to say:“This is a bowl of Vina Acecook Mi Kim Chi with pork flavour. It’s kind of the best noodles you can get in Tesco here in Bratislava. We don’t usually dress it up, but we don’t usually take its picture. So this is a yearbook photo of my ramen: fresh carrot, broccoli and green onion plus pickled baby corn.”
Next we have Justin C. (who also goes by JewWario) of Colorado springs, Colorado. Here’s what he had to say:“Hello,
My name is Justin. I do a show called You Can Play This online where I talk about Japanese video games.
I have been really enjoying your blog and decided to send you pictures for your ‘Show Your Noodles’ section.
Here I am enjoying DJ-Doc Jjolmyeon noodles. They are nice and spicy and I really like the chewy bigger noodles. I believe you covered this particular one late last year. Yum!
Anyways, from one internet reviewer to another, keep up the good work!”
Next, we have our final submission for the week From K.L. of Madison, Wisconsion. Here’s what they had to say:Hi there, here’s my submission for Show Your Noodles. This was today’s lunch – Indomie Mi Goreng fried noodles made the way I always eat it with a heap of green onions, cilantro, fried onions and a squeeze of lime! I sometimes add a fried egg or other protein like ham or turkey.
A great big thank you to everyone who participated! This is one of the biggest highlights of the blog for me – I really like to see what you folks come up with! Please feel free to submit more picture! Even if you’ve been in Show Your Noodles before, there’s nothing saying you can’t be again! just send an email with your pics and your first name and last initial (or just initials; whatever you like) and where you’re from to email@example.com! I put every submission up that I get so feel free to deluge my email box with instant noodle photos every week! Thanks again!
