This is something I’ve very excited about – was contacted by a reader who asked if I’d like to try Polish varieties and of course I answered yes. A ton of really great ones and it’s really hard to find this stuff here. Let’s check ’em out!

In 2013, I got a lot of flak from Taiwan. My top ten and bottom ten lists were the focus – nothing on the top, a couple on the bottom insofar as Taiwan was concerned. I decided hey – maybe I should do a shout out to Taiwan and ask for some varieties. A-Sha was the first to answer that call. Over the years, I’ve been lucky to try different export varieties as well as Taiwan only ones that have been so impressive. Today, I’ll show you a trifecta of varieties you can get here in the United States over at ashadrynoodle.com – check it out!

I was contacted recently by a company making a new, ‘modern’ Korean style ramyun that touted a large serving, lower calories, and great flavor. Sounded good to me. Check it out and see what I though about it! You can get their stuff here!

Every once in a while, I get a box from a guy named James from Lakeside, California and it’s always full of really neat stuff. He struck again and sent a box of all over the place – huge thanks to you, sir! Let’s look at everything – I’ll discuss them and have some images of varieties I’ve already reviewed since it arrived.

I was recently contacted by Good Seoul – makers of some really great rice cake topokki and rapokki! Topokki (tteokbokki) is rice flour cylinders that have a soft and chewy texture. Alone, they’re really not tasty, but paired with sauce they’re quite addictive. Rapokki is when you have these and introduce wheat noodles as well, making for a dual-textured experience. You can find their facebook here. I’ve done a few reviews so there’s some images in the video – check it out!

Big thanks yet again to James from Lakeside, California! People that send in instant noodles to review really support what I’m doing aq lot and it is so appreciated. Some really great stuff in here – let’s take a look!

As today is April 1st (April Fools Day), I was lucky enough to have a neat box of odd varieties my wife got me arrive yesterday. These can be found online at Walmart or you can just drag your smelly ass into a Walmart store. It should be known that while launch dates are usually on the boxes, Walmart rarely adheres to them when it comes to putting things out on the floor as I’ve found regarding previous exclusive things. With that being said, I’ll show you the quartet and let you know my initial thoughts. I should also mention – this isn’t a joke, it’s a real thing. But you shouldn’t be too surprised.

James from Lakeside, California emailed me the other day on some packs he found at Grocery Outlet and sent my way. These are very very interesting in that they’re got clear stuff going on, common prison named flavors, and so on. Watch the vid and maybe check you local Grocery Outlet should you have one. Thanks again man – awesome find!

Frank from 5am Ramen contacted me recently about sending over a box – he’s a purveyor of noodlee guides and tours in Japan as well as really super premium ramen bowls. Thanks! Let’s see what’s inside!

James is a kind of noodle whisperer; he has been sending boxes with stuff in them that 99% of the time I’ve never heard of. This box is no different – lots of neat stutff in here including a variety made in Vietnam for Poland! Thanks!! Let’s take a look.

My friend The Fat Hipster told me about Kenchan Ramen recently, so as I do when I hear about anything new in the ramen realm, I reached out. They replied and sent samples – thanks! I’ve tried everything and you can see them in this video. Thank you very much – they’re really good! Let’s check ’em out!

Lemonilo is a company from Indonesia that focuses on healthier varieties. These are non-fried, and have natural ingredients. Check ’em out and you can get them here – I made my daughter the chicken chow mein last night for dinner and she devoured it.

Every once in a while, I get an email from a publisher about a new book about ramen. Well, this time it was from Quarto about their new Kawaii Cafe Ramen – they also sent three more books as well! Let’s take a look at them all!

Some really neat stuff this time – thanks again! James is like the noodle whisperer and finds stuff I’ve not tried – pretty amazing – let’s see what’s in the box!

Well, I’ve finally gotten a slew of Korean varieties – some of which I knew of, some never knew existed, thanks to Noodle Journey – another instant noodle review YouTube channel! Thanks! Check out what they sent!

I look at Instagram and often see new varieties and things I’ve not tried. That was the case with this new range so I went ahead and contacted Nissin Singapore and they sent a gigantic box! Let’s crack it open and see what’s inside!

As you may know at this point. I’m a huge fan of Prima Taste’s Laksa and Curry LaMian for ages now. Awesome noodle and broth – really worth trying. It’s been on my global top ten – it’s that good. Well, the package is changing as well as the size of serving. Let’s do and unboxing – soon there will be in depth reviews!

This stuff has been enjoyable in the past and if it’s what I think it is, it should be even better. The Choi restaurant ramen is excellent – curious to see how it goes – but for now let’s take a look at it !@

Usually when I’m least expecting it or if I’m low on noodles to review, a box shows up from James of Lakeside, California. It’s pretty crazy. This one has some really great stuff in there – some of which I’ve now tried and really enjoyed reviewing, so thanks! You’ll all get to see the reviews soon. Until then, check out some noodles!

When I released my Chili Crisp Roundup & Buyers Guide in late November, it got a lot of attention – from how I called the stuff love sludge to varieties I’d not tried. This was one of the latter, mentioned by a fellow redditor – thank you! Anyways, These are chili crisp varieties from Taiwan you can get at Yum Hai Taiwanese Pantry – let’s have a look!

My buddy The Fat Hipster from time to time sends me interesting ramen things. Well, he did it again – thanks! These are camping meals from Trailtopia – good for bringing with you since they have a very light weight, and once you’re done cooking in the bag and eating, you just zip it shut and pack it out, weighing virtually nothing. Let’s have a look!

National Noodle Day is coming 10/6 and Nissin has an amazing deal to celebrate – check this out –

I saw on Instagram that Myojo had rolled out some interesting bowls and asked for some samples. I didn’t realize the had new refrigerated premium varieties as well! Let’s open the box and check out all these new things to try! Thanks!

If you’ve thought ‘hey I wonder what a Funyuns and Maruchan Instant Lunch had a baby, what would it taste like?’ then you’re a very strange individual. But that’s what we have here. Granted, these aren’t the product of some strange snack mating ritual, but hey it’s a snack nonetheless. I’ve seen them just about everywhere lately. I’ve also seen people’s thoughts on them, ranging from dislike to completely evangelism. Well, here’s an unboxing time of the product accompanied by a taste test. Thank you to @officialfunyuns and Maruchan for scooting this my way!

Maruchan USA reached out to me recently and asked if I’d like to be among the first to try their new Yakisoba varieties – and of course my answer was yes. They sent a mega box of stuff and here we’ll delve into this range.

A big thank you to Daniel over at www.exoticnoods.com – you should check out his boxes! They’re multinational, so not just from a singble country. Good stuff! He sent some varieties that can be found in those boxes. Let’s check ’em out!

I’ve tried quite a few different varieties from Taiwan and other points around the world. What’s interesting about this one is that it’s a Southeast Asian variety (Malaysia, Singapore) coming from Taiwan. Sounds interesting, especially t me as a fan of curries and fish ball. Let’s take a look! Big thanks to Kyle over at Mom’s Dry Noodle / Surfmama for sending it my way!

I kept seeing these on Amazon and so I decided to reach out to the company for samples, which they kindly sent – thanks! Noodle Revolution is really a fascinating product. These are noodles made almost entirely from egg white. I’ll show you what I did with them in this unboxing. You can purchase them here. The ramen style thicker, vermicelli thinner. I thought upon stirring, the vermicelli would just turn to mush and break up, but that certainly wasn’t the case. Not at all rubbery, with a good mouthfeel and softness. I was really impressed by this – check em out!

Over the years, I’ve tried a lot of different additions to instant noodles and chili oils, pastes, and crisps have become a bit of a thing more people are becoming interested in, as have I. This one is a Malaysian type – hae bee hiam. Really great stuff and I’ll go into it here. You can pick up some from Homiah! Big thanks to Homiah for sending some along in anticipation of my upcoming new list!

Well, the kids are back in school and now I have a lot of time at home. I have a few things to get done – I’ve taken the last few weeks off of reviewing – in fact, I haven’t done a review since May 28th! But I’m going to get back into it very soon – possibly tomorrow… It’s nice – I go on a big kick of reviewing for a while then slack off. Even though I’ve been skipping my reviing as of late, I’m still over 100 reviews ahead, which is nice. These nice varieties donated by James will be among the first to review, and should be posted in maybe November or December. Let’s take a look!

Mom’s Dry Noodle has been putting out some amazing products over the years; excellent stuff that has been on the Taiwanese as well as Global Top Ten Lists. They’ve got something new – Surfmama. Check out the video to see what’s they got cookin’!

I’ve been a fan of Myojo USA’s varieties for awhile now and when I saw some new varieties on Instagram, I asked to try and they were kind enough to send them along. I’ve tried them all and attached photos of the finished bowls to the video – full reviews will be coming soon! Big thanks to Myojo USA for sending them over!

In the last couple of years, there have been some interesting changes of varieties coming from Nissin Foods USA – neat ones! The biggest are these limited edition varieties – first we got Pumpkin Spice, then Breakfast – now it’s Everything Bagel. I still have high hopes for a pizza in a cup but we will have to wait and see. I think it’s a logical next step. Maybe a cheeseburger one. What’s also cool are the media kits they send out. This one’s especially cool – it makes noise! Yup – watch the video and check it out!

Here’s one I found in an Umai Crate from Japan Crate! They have boxes full of neat Japanese varieties! Check out www.japancrate.com and use the coupon code THERAMENRATER to score a sweet discount and get some neat noodles!

So you might think ‘with a claim like that, I bet it’s not hot at all.’ Well, you’d be wrong. Mr. Culley has let me know that this is hotter than the original version, which was quite hjonestly the hottest variety I’ve had to date and it blew my head off and had me writhing on the floor for hours. Not joking. Here’s the unboxing, and below that is the video where I ate the original 1.0 version and as you can see and hear, it cleaned my clock. You might be wondering when you will get to see me go through the baptism of fire yet again – and all I can say is that it will be quite soon. It’ll be getting fast tracked too, so I’m guessing in the first week of 2024. Plan is to do it on a day the kids have a full day of school so I can do it right away and have time to recover and get a full kitchen cleaning done as getting this in their eyes or mouth would be really more painful that I can imagine. So check it out – amazing looking stuff!

I’ve gotten some really unique flavors from Little Couples over the years and this one is no exception! Let’s have a look and a sneak peek at what I created with them!
