#1084: Mr. Noodles Noodles In A Cup Chicken Simulated Flavour

Today’s Father’s Day and my son Andy is over. Thought we’d have some noodles and this is the one he picked. He usually sticks to chicken flavored ones. Let’s check it out!

Panel from the cardboard outer (click imago to enlarge). Looks to be vegetarian.

The noodle block.

The soup base.

Powder as well as veggies!

So we took pictures of eachother when we ate our noodles.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added a slice of cheese and some chicken lunch meat. Andy says these are delicious and he can’t resist it – so yummy! My thoughts on this cup are a little different. The noodles are sad and have almost zero backbone with a really odd crumble to them. The broth is near tasteless and the veg is kind of weird. Bottom line – he loves it, I don’t. 1.5 out of 5.0 stars. Happy Father’s Day! UPC bar code 059491002505.

Here’s a vid of my son singing while the dogs hope that a piece of candy might fall to the floor. That’s a favorite activity of pugs if you’re not familiar with them.

#774: Indomie Mi Instan Rasa Sup Sayuran Vegan

Today’s Father’s Day and me and the boy are going to have some noodles. He picked out this variety, of which I had two and hadn’t reviewed yet. He’s gonna have some kamaboko on his and I’m going to have some veggies in mine.

Here’s the back of the packaging (click image to enlarge).

The noodle block.

Seasoned powder on left and chili powder on the right. Andy skipped on the hot stuff!

Here’s the seasoning powder and the chili powder.

Seasoned oil.

A light yellowish tinge.

Here’s Andy’s – he requested eight slices of kamaboko. I added the almond in and he was pretty happy about that. He gave it 4.5 out of 5.0.

If we’re lucky, our faces will stick like this. Happy Father’s Day!

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added some mixed vegetables, some Blue Diamond Oven Roasted almonds, some Ajishima Kimchi furikake, and finally some roasted seaweed. Well, the noodles as usual are quite good. The broth however has a kind of strange flavor to it that I really wasn’t too keen on. It was slightly similar to the flavor in the Vegan Mi goreng, but didn’t work as well. Andy was very kind on this one, but I think he liked his kamaboko more. I didn’t like this one all that much. 2.25 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 089686011999 .

Indonesian Veggie Bakso Noodle Soup video – aside from really wanting one of these hats, this looks quite good!

My dad thought this guy was really quite humorous.

#431: Unif Tung-I Chinese Onion Flavor Instant Rice Noodles

I’ve reviewed  a ton of the Unif noodles, but it’s been quite a while. Here’s a Unif rice noodle – Chinese onion.

Two packets – powdered seasoning and seasoned oil.

I got a little of the oil on my finger – boy is it pungent stuff! Had an almost putrid strong smell.

Click image to enlarge.  I was expecting these noodles to be a little slimy and clumpy, but they were not. The broth is salty and very onionny. It’s not bad stuff, and worth having again if you are a crazed cultist of the church of onion. Like Funyun stew. 2.75 out of 5.0 stars. Get it here.
