#2541: Nissin Cup Noodles Very Veggie Spicy Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

VV3: Nissin Cup Noodles Very Veggie Spicy Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

Rounding out the Cup Noodles Very Veggie range is Spicy Chicken. All I can say is that if it’s anything like the other two this will be a no-brainer. I still am beside myself on these; these are just about the best thing I’ve seen come from the United States in a long, long time. So Very Veggie has 1/2 cup – which is one full serving – of vegetables. Let’s check it out.

The flavor is a chicken with a lot of cumin and a bit of spiciness – not too much to fend off anyone I know, but enough to say ‘hi – I’m spicy.’ Just like the other two, this one gets a lot of added flavor in the broth from the myriad vegetables included. Corn, bell pepper, and onion are omnipresent and just so welcome here. Thank you! 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 070662401033.

VV!: Nissin Cup Noodles Very Veggie Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

When I read about this new product line in my news feeds, I was very curious. For years, I’ve though that the amount of vegetables included with instant noodle varieties in general was way too slim. Of course, vegetables cost money to put in there and so that’s something to consider.

Well, Nissin here has decided to throw caution to the wind and come up with a new Cup Noodles variety called Very Veggie. This stuff is purported to give you a full serving of vegetables – 1/2 a cup’s worth. Let’s see really how many vegetables we’re talking about here!

The sheer amount of vegetables actually add a nice flavor to it. The vegetables hydrated very well and are just everywhere – broccoli, edamame, corn, and carrot really liven things up. Extremely impressed! 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 070662401019.

American The Ramen Rater's Top Ten American Instant Noodles Of All Time 2017 Edition

This last year, I’ve gotten to try hundreds of new instant noodles. Well, this one has a difference that is unique among thousands. First, it’s a chicken instant noodle which isn’t strange – however, this one is made for the United States and has a vegetable sachet as well. For the economy category, this is pretty awesome and unseen here. Second, it’s the first instant noodle I’ve ever seen with a sachet that has drink mix in it in an American instant noodle – let aloned one anywhere in the world. Lemonade, fruit punch – and it’s not bad! Definitely, find this! Original review

#640: Master Kong Artificial Spicy Beef Flavor Instant Noodle

Sadly, this is last of the Master Kong varieties sent to me by Chad B. of Highland, Illinois – thanks again Chad – your stickers went out in the mail yesterday!

Package back (click image top enlarge).

Three packets – liquid base at top, veggies lower right and powder seasoning lower left.

Here’s everything waiting for the boiling water.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added two fried eggs with a little Cavender’s Greek seasoning, some bok choy, a slice of processed cheese and a few dashes of Texas Pete hot sauce. Rad stuff. The noodles were of good quality and very nice. The broth was spicy and a hint of sweet – just perfect. The extras added a fullness to the meal. All in all, very excellent! 4.25 out of 5.0 stars! Re-Review: Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup Oriental Flavor

Such a classic – almost as American as it is Japanese! Actually, this packet was made in California. Just like rival Nissin, Maruchan has a huge southern California factory. Here’s a re-review of this standard that probably everyone has had once in their lifetime.

My son, Andreas gave me this one, along with a beef and a pork flavor pack! He’s been quite a noodle eater – he really likes Top Ramen Chicken flavor, but I got him to try the Indomie Special Chicken flavor and he really liked it – gotta keep trying new things! Thanks for the noodles, Andy!!!

Back of the packaging (click image to enlarge). At the bottom you can see – Irvine, California.

Here’s the block in all of it’s glory. It’s ready to join two cups of water.

A single packet. A lot of these end up in kitchen drawers or half used. As always, I say use the whole thing. Don’t be a wuss! Don’t hate on ramen while that fast food meal has twice the sodium.

Behold, the spice! It might not help you evolve into a space folding Guild navigator, but it makes the broth and noodles tasty!

Finished (click image to enlarge)! Two egg omelet with some Tabasco Buffalo Style Hot Sauce, garlic salt, and a light sprinkle of Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning within. I added some Kizami Shoga (pickled ginger) on top. First, the noodles. They’re surprisingly chewy and of good character; not eternally stalwart, but there for you during a cold snap. Decent noodles. The broth and its flavor are interesting; almost like a shoyu. I like this one – not my favorite of the Maruchan line, but I think it deserves praise for its simplicity and surprisingly complex flavor. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.
