This is interesting to me as it’s gone through multiple changes. This one is Shin but green in color to distinguish it from Shin Green which is another product altogether. This used to be in red with a Vegan logo on it, but I think they decided more green would be less confusing. That being said, and as logical as that might be, I’ve encountered people wondering if this is Shin Green and not Shin Ramyun Vegan. Anyways, let’s try it out.
Nongshim Vegan Shin Noodles – United States
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Has a Vegan approved logo but check for yourself. To prepare, add in sachet contents, fill to line with room temp water and microwave 3 minutes at 1000W. Finally, stir and enjoy.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added scallion, sesame seed, pepper thread, and chashu. The noodle was thinner than expected but hydrated well after its spin in the microwave. Broth was Shin-like . however didn’t seem to have the bitter back standard Shin does and I appreciated that. The broth also was brighter; a hint of tomato tanginess in there.
