Big thank you to Pher Engi for sending this along! Recently, I reviewed a tom yum flavored dry noodle from this range. This one has soup. Sounds good – curious how it will be, so let’s cook it up and find out.
Nongshim Shin Ramyun x Jayfai Tom Yum Flavour – South Korea
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains fish and crustacean. To prepare, boil noodle in 500ml water with dry sachets for 4.5 minutes. Add in liquid base. Finally, stir and enjoy!
An instant noodle block.
A sachet of soup base powder seasoning.
A sachet of vegetables.
A paste sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added shrimp, crushed red pepper, coriander, and sesame seed. Noodle is really quite good – nice thick gauge ramyun. The broth is like a Shin with some tom yum paste in there. This is interesting, but eventually with the tastes I had kind of went blind on the tom yum aspect and the pepper heat of Shin kind of took over. I wanted to like it more, but it ended up very odd. 3.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8801043070362.
