Kenchan Ramen is providing a myriad of different delivery ramen options. The recently sent a box on ice with fresh as well as shelf stable varieties. The fresh boxes contain two servings of everything. This one today is their tonkotsu – a lot of nice garnish and looks good to me – let’s give it a go!
Kenchan Ramen Premium Spicy Miso – United States
A cooking instructions leaflet (click to enlarge). Contains fish and pork. To prepare, boil noodles 2 minutes and drain. Add base to 1.2~2 cups boiling water and combine. Add noodles, broth, and toppings. Finally, enjoy!
An ingredients sticker from the box (click to enlarge).
Fresh ramen.
A sachet of liquid soup base.
Unsure on this one.
Chashu, corn, and more.
Pepper threads.
Seaweed.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, sesame seed, scallion. Noodle seemed a little different than the last one and equally as wonderful. It accompanies a tangy and well-mannered red miso forward taste. Corn, chashu and menma were great – but the pepper thread was just perfect – making me immediately start researching how to make my own. Seaweed was good as well. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. No bar code.
